Music then, music now.
As my music taste has changed over the years ive noticed that im very fastdious. If i were to make an example, back then, I could listen to Girugamesh and think "FUCK YEAH GIRUGAMESH!" now I cant stand his lack of vocal skills. And its not just Satoshi from Girugamesh, im talking about those types of bands. I can still appreciate the music from time to time, but these days, I always manage to compare their vocals to the mentioned singers above.
tl;dr
I like good vocals.
